Torquay is one of Britain's most famous resorts, situated at the heart of 22 miles of unspoilt coastline known as the "English Riviera" because of its mild climate, sparkling blue waters, blue-flag beaches, attractive gardens and palm tree lined seafront. Torquay has been fashionable since Victorian times and is the former home of Elizabeth Barrett Browning as well as crime author Agatha Christie. It offers variety, day and night, from its bustling harbour and marina to its exclusive shops, sophisticated restaurants and bars. Torquay's spectacular modernised waterfront provides a continental atmosphere with its attractive cafes and shops, luxury yachts and beautiful footbridge across the inner harbour.

The heart of the town is the harbour which has many shops along its edges. The town is hilly but the location of the Regina Hotel is on the flat harbourside and the shops, promenade and Pavilion Theatre are all a level walk from here.

Torbay has excellent bathing beaches at Babbacombe, Torre Abbey and Paignton. Torre Abbey Gardens make a pleasant walk along the seafront from the hotel.

We pride ourselves on delivering consistently high standards throughout our hotels: clean rooms, good quality décor, bright modern bathrooms and attention to the small details that make all the difference to your stay. All hotels have a ballroom or large area for dancing and most have comfortable lounges, sun lounges or games areas where you’re free to while away the hours. Many guest rooms boast fabulous sea views, and all are immaculately presented and provided with an en suite bath or shower & WC, central heating, hair dryer, tea/coffee making facilities and television with radio channels. Most also have internal telephones to take incoming calls, contact Reception or call other rooms.

The hotel does not have any ground floor rooms and due to the historic nature of the building there are many changes of level on the bedroom floors. The Georgian part of the building does not have lift access. There are no facilities for charging mobility scooters. Please ensure you submit a special requirements form if you have any mobility difficulties which may affect your holiday.
