YOUR RESORT

Scarborough is arguably Britain's oldest seaside resort - it was a resort more than a century before Regency Brighton. It has two bays divided by a rugged headland on which sit the remains of a medieval castle. The busy harbour is home to a welter of fishing boats and there are the usual seaside pursuits a-plenty on the South Bay promenade which leads to the Spa Complex, close to our hotel. The steep hillsides are beautifully landscaped and there are many attractive parks and gardens. There are lots of shops, restaurants and cafes and of course the famous Stephen Joseph Theatre.

TOWN CENTRE

Scarborough offers a very wide range of shops of all shapes and sizes. The Brunswick Shopping Centre has a great selection of high street names. Bar Street, a charming cobbled area, is traffic-free and offers a selection of smaller shops.

BEACH & GARDENS

Scarborough offers two sheltered bays of golden sand which are ideal for safe bathing. This premier floral resort has a number of stunning gardens, in particular South Cliff and the remarkable Peasholm Park with its oriental influences.

ACCOMMODATION

We pride ourselves on delivering consistently high standards throughout our hotels: clean rooms, good quality décor, bright modern bathrooms and attention to the small details that make all the difference to your stay. All hotels have a ballroom or large area for dancing and most have comfortable lounges, sun lounges or games areas where you’re free to while away the hours. Guest rooms are immaculately presented and provided with an en suite bath or shower & WC, central heating, hair dryer, tea/coffee making facilities and television with radio channels. Most also have internal telephones to take incoming calls, contact Reception or call other rooms.

SPECIAL INFO

This hotel has five steps to the front entrance but there is level access via a slope to the basement which gives access to a large lift which serves all floors. However, all floors are split level and approximately 25% of rooms are accessed via a flight of stairs. The ground floor is also split level but there is a platform lift between levels. There are no ground floor rooms. Please ensure you submit a special requirements form if you have any mobility difficulties which may affect your holiday.
