Itinerary

Day 1 - Outward Travel - Overnight in North Wales

  • We depart and make our way to North Wales where we stay overnight.

Day 2 - Outward Travel En-route - Wicklow Mountains

  • Journey through the spectacular Wicklow Mountains, Ireland’s largest National Park, home to wide open vistas, winding mountain roads and fast-flowing streams.

Day 3 - Wexford & Dunbrody Famine Ship

  • Discover charming Wexford with free time to explore this medieval town. With its remarkable Viking roots, enjoy a stroll along the River Slaney to view the brightly coloured buildings along the waters edge, admire the imposing Westgate Tower or visit the beloved St Iberius Church. Your excursion will continue with a visit to Dunbrody Famine Ship – an authentic reproduction of an 1840s emigrant vessel, this fascinating museum allows you to walk in the footsteps of Irish famine emigrants on their journeys of hope across the Atlantic.

Day 4 - Day at leisure - Waterford

  • Enjoy a day at leisure in Waterford – capital of Ireland’s sunny south east. Ireland’s oldest city, the city was founded by Viking traders and you can learn more at the Waterford Museum of Treasures (entrance not included) or maybe enjoy a pint of the ‘black stuff’ in one of the many traditional pubs.

Day 5 - Kilkenny & Waterford House of Crystal

  • Dunbrody Famine Ship (entry included in tour cost) is found on the Barrow in New Ross, Co Wexford. The restored ship tells the story of Irish emigrants and the conditions they endured on their long sea journeys. Originally built as a cargo ship in Quebec, the Dunbrody was pressed into passenger service taking Irish families to the New World.
  • Kilkenny castle overlooks the River Nore and has guarded the river crossing for more than 900 years. Take a stroll through the beautiful gardens with extensive woodland paths, rose garden and ornamental lake. This cosmopolitan city offers a diverse range of restaurants, lively pubs and thriving craft shops

Day 6 - Return Travel - Dublin to Holyhead with Overnight in North Wales

  • We leave the Emerald Isle behind and sail from Dublin to Holyhead with dinner on board, continuing on to our overnight stay in North Wales.

Most of our holidays are operated by our own fleet of mostly modern Mercedes luxury coaches, all of which have an on board washroom and are air conditioned. We also work with selected third party coach operators who supplement our own fleet during peak periods. The facilities on third party coaches can vary, but the majority have air conditioning. We are members of the Confederation of Passenger Transport and the Coach Tourism Association – bodies established to encourage standards of excellence in our industry.
