Itinerary

Day 1 - Outward Travel

Day 2 - Full Day Northumberland Coast & Alnwick Garden

  • Today we’ll make our way along the spectacular coast of Northumberland Coast. Home to castles and coves, this magnificent stretch of coastline has some of the most immaculate beaches in the country, dotted with seaside towns and villages. We’ll make our way to pretty Seahouses, a colourful fishing village with a bustling harbour, range of shops and fine fish and chips! We’ll the continue our day with a visit to glorious Alnwick Garden. From the tranquillity of the Cherry Orchard to the excitement of the Grand Cascade, there is plenty to see and do here.

Day 3 - Half Day Hexham Abbey

  • Today we’ll make our way into Hadrian’s Wall Country as we visit the ancient market town of Hexham where we visit the splendid Abbey. The peaceful atmosphere, ancient architectural treasures and stunning stained glass windows are a joy to behold and we’ll learn more from our guide as we’re taken on a tour of this precious building.

Day 4 - Full day to Durham

  • Dominated by the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Cathedral and Castle, Durham is an iconic English city with cobbled streets, historic attractions and beautiful riverside walks.

Day 5 - Return Travel

Located on the Newcastle-Gateshead Quayside on the banks of the Tyne, our hotel is a short walk to popular theatres, art galleries and attractions, including the BALTIC Centre of Contemporary Art, The Sage Gateshead, Gateshead Millennium Bridge and the Metro Radio Arena which are all located less than 2 miles from the Hotel. Please note that this hotel does not offer evening entertainment.

Most of our holidays are operated by our own fleet of mostly modern Mercedes luxury coaches, all of which have an on board washroom and are air conditioned. We also work with selected third party coach operators who supplement our own fleet during peak periods. The facilities on third party coaches can vary, but the majority have air conditioning. We are members of the Confederation of Passenger Transport and the Coach Tourism Association – bodies established to encourage standards of excellence in our industry.
