Day 1 - Outward Travel

Day 2 - Stonehaven and Drum Castle

  • Located south of Aberdeen along the coast, Stonehaven is a delightful Scottish town with an attractive harbour.
  • It has many ancient buildings including the 15th Century Tolbooth which houses a fascinating museum (entry fee may apply).
  • Dating from the 13th century, Drum Castle was owned by the Irvine family for over 650 years.
  • We explore the varied heritage of this intriguing building on our guided tour (included in tour cost).
  • The gardens include an historic collection of roses.

Day 3 - Braemar and the Highland Games Centre

  • Surrounded by the fine Grampian Mountains and woodland scenery, Braemar is a delightful village.
  • A quarter of a mile east of the town stands Braemar Castle, a 17th century castle with a colourful past (entry fees may apply).
  • The recently opened Braemar Highland Games Centre is an iconic new heritage centre at the home of the world-famous Braemar Gathering.
  • We discover the 200-year history of the Braemar Royal Highland Society and The Braemar Highland Games.
  • Our tour (included in holiday cost) includes a bagpipe welcome and tea with scone.

Day 6 - Fraserburgh and Haddo House

  • We discover the endless golden sandy beaches and bustling harbour of this traditional coastal town.
  • Attractions include the Fraserburgh Heritage Centre and Museum of Scottish Lighthouses (charges apply).
  • Designed in 1732 by William Adam, Haddo was home to the Gordon family for more than 400 years.
  • The extensive art collection includes 85 paintings of Aberdeenshire castles by acclaimed Victorian artist James Giles.
  • Entry to house and gardens included in tour cost.

Day 7 - Return Travel

Clients are permitted to remain on the coach only when the driver is present. European Holidays – Join Direct at Dover

If it is more convenient to drive to Dover to join your tour coach, there is FREE PARKING at Dover for the duration of your holiday. This service is available for all Continental Europe tours.

Reliable Coaches

Most of our holidays are operated by our own fleet of mostly modern Mercedes luxury coaches, all of which have an on board washroom and are air conditioned. We also work with selected third party coach operators who supplement our own fleet during peak periods. The facilities on third party coaches can vary, but the majority have air conditioning. We are members of the Confederation of Passenger Transport and the Coach Tourism Association – bodies established to encourage standards of excellence in our industry.
