Itinerary

Day 1 - Outward Travel

Day 2 - Full Day to Truro & Falmouth

  • Fascinating maritime heritage, narrow streets and a bustling town centre – Falmouth is Cornwall’s at its finest. Exotic sub-tropical plants thrive in the mild climate and you can admire the formal flower beds and ornamental trees in the Municipal Gardens. Falmouth is also a foodie paradise with freshly caught seafood on every corner plus traditional Cornish pasties to be found in the many bakeries!
  • Whether you're in the mood for a relaxing shopping trip, exploring local history, or admiring stunning architecture, Cornwall’s capital, Truro, has something for all ages. Taking centre stage is Truro Cathedral which stands tall in the heart of the city. Built in the Gothic Revival style between 1880 and 1910 it is one of only three UK cathedrals with three spires.

Day 3 - Full Day to the Isles of Scilly

  • We make our way to Penzance and board our sailing to St Mary’s, the largest of the Scilly Isles. The crossing takes around 2¾ hours and offers a unique view of some of Cornwall’s most iconic coastline and occasionally dolphins, seals and puffins on the approach to the enchanting archipelago. Landing in Hugh Town, the central hub and ‘capital’ of the islands, you’ll find a cluster of shops, beautiful beaches and countryside paths. The way of life here is much simpler – with just 2200 residents scattered across the main five islands things are quieter, more relaxed and despite being less than 30 miles from the mainland you’ll feel a world away! Don’t forget your camera!

Later in the day we driving along the curving bay to Marazion from where you can take in the spectacular views of St Michael’s Mount which sits on a tidal island out in the bay.
