Itinerary

Day 1 - Outward Travel - Holyhead to Dublin and onto Northern Ireland

  • We depart and sail from Holyhead to Dublin where we continue our journey into Northern Ireland.

Day 2 - Full Day Belfast including Guided City Tour & Titanic Belfast

  • Visit Northern Ireland’s vibrant capital city of Belfast. This bustling capital city has fascinating stories to tell and we’ll take an interesting guided tour of the city seeing the beautiful City Hall, the murals of the residential areas and the instantly recognisable Harland & Wolff cranes as we make our way to the Titanic Quarter. Here we visit Titanic Belfast, perched on the spot from where the famous ship was launched, this award-winning museum tells the tale of the vessel from its design to embarking on its fateful journey.

Day 3 - Full Day Giant's Causeway & Ballymena

  • A scenic spectacular awaits as we make our way to the coast to visit the Giant’s Causeway. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, 40,000 basalt columns stretch out into the sea, created by volcanic activity some 50 million years ago. Inspiring myths and legends of giant’s striding across the waters to Scotland, the Grand Causeway is the largest of the three rocky outcrops and one of the most photographed sights in the UK! From the award-winning Visitor Centre shuttle buses run up and down to the Giant’s Causeway (payable locally). Later in the day, we return to Ballymena for some free time to explore this historic town. There is a beautiful waterfall walkway, stunning Georgian architecture and a host of local craft shops, decorative gardens and plenty of restaurants and cafes to enjoy.

Day 4 - Full Day Mountains of Mourne & St Patrick's Centre - to overnight hotel in Dublin Area

  • Enjoy a day taking in the stunning scenery of the Mourne Mountains. With an ‘otherworldly’ feel, this is one of the most picturesque areas on the island of Ireland and the inspiring landscapes inspired CS Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia. We’ll also see Strangford Lough, the UK’s largest sea lough and one of Europe’s key wildlife habitats, before making our way to the St Patrick’s Centre in Downpatrick. The only permanent exhibition in the world dedicated to the life of Ireland patron saint, the displays here explore the legacy of St Patrick from the ancient world to modern day.
  • Later in the day we continue our journey southwards to reach our overnight hotel in the Dublin area.

Day 5 - Return Travel - Dublin to Holyhead with breakfast on board

  • We wave good-bye to the Emerald Isle as we depart early for our return crossing to Holyhead, enjoying breakfast on board the return sailing.

Dunsilly Hotel

A family run hotel on the outskirts of Antrim Town, the hotel's bedrooms are located in a separate area to the main hotel, ensuring a peaceful nights sleep for all.
