Itinerary

Day 1 - Outward Travel – to Overnight stay in Dublin Area

  • We depart and make our way to Holyhead for our sailing to Dublin. On arrival we make our way to our overnight stay in the Dublin Area.

Day 2 - Outward Travel – via Brigit’s Garden and to Westport

  • Our journey continues as we make our way across Ireland to call at Brigit’s Garden, widely regarded as one of the most picturesque gardens in the country. This unique Celtic Garden takes you on a magical journey through acres of native woodlands and wildflower meadows and our engaging guide will reveal interesting connections between people and this enchanting landscape. Later in the day our journey continues to Westport.

Day 3 - Full Day Killary Fjord Cruise, Connemara National Park & Kylemore Abbey

  • Be amazed by the awe-inspiring beauty of the Connemara landscapes as we enjoy an informative cruise encompassing the natural and social history of Killary Fjord. The cruise will take us to the mouth of the fjord, the gateway to the vast expanse of Atlantic Ocean and offers unrivalled views of the Wild Atlantic Way coastline. We also venture into Connemara National Park itself and call at beautiful Kylemore Abbey. Nestled into the densely wooded hills, overlooking Pollacapall Lough, Kylemore Abbey is a haven of history, beauty and serenity.

Day 4 - Full Day Galway & Connemara Crystal

  • The brightly coloured buildings of Galway City never fail to impress. The ‘city of tribes’ is rich in medieval history and Galway has a thriving city centre with wonderful cobbled streets and plenty of traditional, welcoming pubs to enjoy. Later in the day we call at Connemara Crystal, one of the few remaining crystal factories in Ireland, where we can see the skilled craftsmen at work creating the traditional Claddagh, Shamrock and Celtic Knot designs that are known the world over.

Day 5 - Full Day Achill Island, Slievemore Village & Westport

  • Achill Island is a jewel in the crown of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. Famous for its towering sea cliffs and sandy beaches, the landscapes here are raw and spectacular. We’ll discover the ruined castle of a pirate queen and visit deserted Slievemore Village, where 80-100 stone cottages once stood. With interesting tales to tell, this is a tranquil and remote spot and the perfect place for quiet reflection as you wander amongst the ruins. Later in the day we’ll return to Westport where there will be some free time to explore at leisure.

Day 6 - En route Dublin to Overnight stay in Dublin Area

  • We depart and retrace our tracks across Ireland to arrive in the lively capital city of Dublin. Here there will be some free time to explore – take in the sights such as the Ha’Penny Bridge, Trinity College and the Molly Malone statue, hit the shops on Grafton Street or head into one of the many colourful pubs of the Temple Bar district – the choice is yours! Later in the day we’ll continue to our overnight hotel in the Dublin Area.

Day 7 - Return travel – Dublin-Holyhead with breakfast on board

  • Our adventure in Ireland has sadly come to an end and we depart early this morning making our way to the port for our return sailing to Holyhead and have breakfast on board.
