Itinerary

Day 1 - Outward Travel

Day 2 - Full Day to Bristol

  • Surrounded by the hills of South West England, Bristol has always had a story to tell. A city with centuries-old heritage, there are distinct areas of the city all worth exploring including the Old City which is a warren of streets and squares that mostly remain the same as they were hundreds of years ago and the pretty harbourside which is framed by brightly coloured buildings.

Day 3 - Day at Leisure

Day 4 - West Somerset Railway & Minehead

  • A true country branch line of the old Great Western Railway, enjoy a nostalgic journey aboard the restored carriages of the West Somerset Railway. The route rolls through the pretty scenery of the Quantock Hills, with Exmoor National Park in the distance and passes the cliffs and coast of the Bristol Channel with views of South Wales before arriving in Minehead where we enjoy some free time. This traditional seaside resort is home to fantastic beaches, traditional seaside amusements, a bustling fishing quarter and an historic harbour.
  • Please note that this excursion may operate in reverse, visiting Minehead first and taking the journey on the West Somerset Railway in the afternoon.

Day 5 - Return Travel
