TREASURES OF TUSCANY

Resort - Montecatini Terme

Overview

Italy’s most beguiling region is also its artistic and cultural capital. Blossoming under the mighty Medici dynasty, it is a wonderland of the Renaissance, home of Florence and the famous Uffizi Gallery. Visit the ancient university town of Siena and Pisa with its leaning tower; the homeland of figures such as Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Dante and Galileo. This tour allows us to sample not only Tuscany’s great cities of art but also to take in the rolling hills, olive groves and vineyards replete with slender cypress trees and Etruscan walls so often depicted in Renaissance paintings. Our tour is based in the spa resort of Montecatini Termi, which has a host of tourist facilities including a funicular railway.
