40 Years of Leisureplex Hotels

At Leisureplex we are so much more than just a hotel group. We pride ourselves on creating lasting memories in your home away from home. 2024 is an extra special year for us as we celebrate 40 years of providing high quality stays in our award winning hotels, where our guests are at the heart of everything we do.

 

 

Our 24 Leisureplex Hotels are placed in the best locations, most of which are situated on or very near to the seafront. Whether you want to explore the local area or simply relax and soak up the atmosphere, with nearby attractions aplenty, each resort has something to offer everyone.

 

 

To celebrate our 40th birthday in style, guests staying with us on the afternoon of Wednesday 20th March 2024 enjoyed special events , entertainment and a buffett lunch at our hotels!

The Leisureplex Hotel Timeline

1984

Hydro Hotel, Llandudno

In the spring of 1984, Leisureplex bought its first hotel, the Hydro Hotel in Llandudno, which remains one of the Group’s iconic flagship hotels to this day.

1986

Hotel De Paris, Cromer

The Hotel De Paris came on board in the April of 1986. The unique Victorian architecture and prime position make it one of our most popular hotels.

1987

Eliot Hotel, Newquay

The Eliot in the holiday hotspot of Newquay is situated close to Great Western and Tolcarne beaches, only a few yards from the seafront.

1989

Selborne Hotel,
Dunoon

Our first hotel in Scotland, the Selborne enjoys fabulous views south onto the Clyde, with its lawns reaching to the promenade and water’s edge.

Regina Hotel,
Torquay

The Regina, ideally situated harbour side in the prime holiday resort of Torquay,  is just a short stroll from the shops and theatre.

New Beach Hotel,
Great Yarmouth

In its lively, central location on the seafront opposite Britannia Pier and adjacent to the shops the New Beach is a great destination for a vibrant break.

Anchor Head Hotel, Weston-super-Mare

Situated by Birnbeck Pier, close to the beach, with spectacular sea views across the channel the promenade walk begins right outside the hotel.

Imperial Hotel,
Ilfracombe

The Imperial Hotel overlooks the gardens and splendid Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe. It is close to the shops and only a short walk from the harbour.

Queens Hotel,
Eastbourne

This magnificent Victorian hotel is situated in an outstanding position overlooking the pier, enjoying a glorious location on the sunny south coast.

Bayshore Hotel, Sandown, Isle of Wight

Our first hotel on the Isle of Wight the Bayshore occupies a fabulous position opposite Sandown’s Pier with easy access to stroll along the seafront.

Exmouth

This delightful hotel is wonderfully situated on the level seafront, and  overlooks the fine golden sands of this Georgian resort.

Fort William

The Croit Anna is situated on the shores of Loch Linnhe, with spectacular views across the loch and positioned perfectly to explore the stunning Highlands.

Located in one of the most famous British seaside destinations, the Cumberland is located on South Cliff a short walk to the Spa Complex and town.

Conveniently situated on the South Promenade between Central and South Piers, the Queens Hotel is one of Blackpool’s larger hotels.
