There are many different opportunities at Alfa Leisureplex, from office-based positions at our Head Office in Chorley, Lancashire, to hotel staff roles across our 21 Leisureplex Hotels, to working as part of our Traffic Operations team, in Customer Care or as one of our valued Coach Drivers. LEISUREPLEX HOTELS

Our 21 hotels each have a small core of permanent management staff who recruit, train and manage over 400 seasonal employees each year. Many of our seasonal staff are recruited locally to the hotels, and in addition many of our hotels can provide on-site staff accommodation, meaning that a number of staff join us from further afield, many from overseas. Our hotels are situated in the UK’s most popular resorts, across Cornwall, Somerset & Devon, the South East, Wales, Northern England and Scotland.

ALFA HOLIDAYS

Our Head Office is situated in Euxton near Chorley in Lancashire, where we employ staff in Reservations, Sales, Marketing, and other support functions such as Accounts and IT. Staff turnover at Chorley is very low, but we are always interested to hear from people who would be interested in working for us (full or part time). TRANSPORT

Our transport operations are very diverse and we employ coach drivers, interchange staff and schedulers based in the North West (Preston/Chorley), North East (Bowburn), Yorkshire (Woodall), Midlands (Tamworth) and South East (Reading area) of England.

Data Analyst & Marketing Officer

Location: Head Office, Euxton, Chorley
Salary: c£19k – c£23k p.a.
Hours: 37.5 per week
Closing Date: 31 March 2017 12pm

Who we are

Alfa Travel is a Coach Holiday Operator providing tours across the UK. We are one of the UK’s most respected coach holiday operators with a turnover of almost £28 million per year. Alfa Travel has two sister companies; Alfa Coaches which operates the coach fleet and Leisureplex Hotels Limited which owns 21 hotels across the UK in coastal locations. Alfa Coaches and Leisureplex are the primary providers of the coach fleet and hotel accommodation to Alfa Travel. We believe that our staff are the key to success and as such have recently become an employee owned business.

About the Job

Your main role will be collating and processing data into meaningful information that can feed into the overall marketing plan and strategy. You need to be passionate about analytics and numbers and driven by understanding consumer preferences and behaviours, as well as industry trends. The role will also require involvement in general marketing tasks including email campaigns and brochure production as and when required and so a good level of English is required, preferably with good copy writing skills.

Understanding the business including our target demographic and product offering will be key to interpreting data into actions that facilitate retention and acquisition.

Who are we looking for

We are looking for a dynamic data analyst who has a passion for understanding consumers and their behaviours. The candidate needs to be numerical and highly skilled in Excel, including macros and knowledgeable in SQL/Access. You will need to be comfortable with data modelling and segmentation and be good at and enjoy problem solving. Experience at using Google Analytics is advantageous, as well as high precision and accuracy in your work and thoughtfulness in presentation of reports to colleagues and Managers.

Although the role is primarily focused on data analytics, we do work as part of a close team and flexibility is key at Alfa. Therefore the successful candidate will also be required to be involved in more general marketing tasks. Knowledge of WordPress, PPC and SEO are advantageous. Some of your tasks will involve KPI reports, invoice logging daily sales and booking report plus cover for other departments report as and when needed.

Financial Controller

Location: Alfa Building, Euxton Lane, Euxton, Chorley, PR7 6AF
Hours of Work Core Hours are 37.5 hours per week from 9am – 5:30pm, however, due to nature of the role, hours are as required.
Remuneration: £45,000-£50,000 per annum, plus participation in the Company’s substantial profit bonus scheme, partnership dividend, pension and discounted holidays.

Alfa Leisureplex is an employee owned group, with turnover in excess of £36m per annum. Alfa Travel is an inclusive tour and self drive holiday provider, operating across the UK and in Europe, with a fleet of almost 50 coaches. Leisureplex Hotels Limited owns and operates 21 hotels in coastal locations across England, Scotland and Wales. Leisureplex is the primary provider of the hotel accommodation to Alfa Travel.

About the job

Manage the Finance Team, including 2 direct reports, to complete:

  • Quarterly Management Accounts for three group companies
  • Quarterly VAT returns for three group companies
  • Annual statutory accounts
  • Annual group budgets
  • Head office payrolls
  • Providing financial support to other Head Office functions
  • Maintaining robust financial controls across the businesses
  • Ensuring the teams management information is circulated on a timely basis
  • Supervising the team and resolving their day to day queries
  • Mentoring and developing staff

Who are we looking for

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
  • Previous experience as a Financial Controller is desirable
  • Good communicator, able to develop strong business partnerships with other departments
  • Competent user of Excel
  • Up to date knowledge of Accounting Regulations
  • Able to challenge processes and drive change when required
  • Commercially aware
  • Excellent Communicator
  • Positive & Supportive attitude
  • Ability to inspire a team
