There are many different opportunities at Alfa Leisureplex, from office-based positions at our Head Office in Chorley, Lancashire, to hotel staff roles across our 22 Leisureplex Hotels, to working as part of our Traffic Operations team, in Customer Care or as one of our valued Coach Drivers. Our 22 hotels each have a small core of permanent management staff who recruit, train and manage over 400 seasonal employees each year. Many of our seasonal staff are recruited locally to the hotels, and in addition many of our hotels can provide on-site staff accommodation, meaning that a number of staff join us from further afield, many from overseas. Our hotels are situated in the UK’s most popular resorts, across Cornwall, Somerset & Devon, the South East, Wales, Northern England and Scotland.

Our Head Office is situated in Euxton near Chorley in Lancashire, where we employ staff in Reservations, Sales, Marketing, and other support functions such as Accounts and IT. Staff turnover at Chorley is very low, but we are always interested to hear from people who would be interested in working for us (full or part time). There are two vacancies currently available – Office Cleaner and Operations Director. Please see below for more details.

Job Title: Office Cleaner

Location: Head Office, Euxton, Chorley (travel to another office in Wheelton required daily)

Salary: £7.20 per hour + benefits – Staff Discount, Partnership Bonus, Pension, Travel between sites

Hours: 17.5 hours per week (3.5 per day flexible see below) Monday – Friday Job Share would be considered

About the job

You will be responsible for the cleaning of both the Head Office in Chorley and Traffic Office in Wheelton. For both offices and travel in between, which is a 15 minute journey we allow 3 hours 30 minutes per day. Having a full clean driving licence with access to your own transport will be essential.

Hours of work can be flexible for example Head Office 6:30am – 8:30am or 17:00pm – 19:00pm & Wheelton 7:00am – 8:15am or 17:00pm – 18:15pm. Options to be discussed further at interview stage and a job share would also be considered if you require less hours.

Your main task will be to make sure the offices are cleaned to a high standard each day including emptying waste paper bins, dusting desks, vacuuming carpets and minimal washing up. As part of the role you will also be responsible for the stock control of cleaning products, towels, toilet rolls etc.

We are looking to conduct the first stage of interviewing the week commencing 29 August 2016. Ideally we would like the candidate to be in place by the no later than 26 September 2016.

Who we are looking for

Previous experience of cleaning properties is essential and experience of cleaning in office environments is desirable. An awareness of Health & Safety procedures as well as a thorough understanding of cleaning procedures will be required.

You will need to be able to work without supervision, as there will be times when there are limited persons on the premises. You will need to complete and understand basic paperwork; therefore a reasonable level of literacy is essential. Mostly we are looking for a reliable person who demonstrates a good attitude.

Operations Director

Lead a Well Known Employee Owned Passenger Transport Business

Logistics, Transport or Supply Chain Professional

This is an excellent opportunity to join this highly successful and well known employee owned company which has a significant established business in passenger transport as a key part of a larger hospitality group. The role will appeal to a graduate qualified transport, logistics and supply chain professional who also have a PCV International CPC.

Reporting to the Managing Director, this general management position has profit and loss responsibility for the passenger transport arm of the group.  With a fleet of 46 Mercedes Benz coaches and an experienced management team in place, the challenges in the role are to bring leadership and a more commercial edge to a well-established team comprising traffic management, engineering drivers and interchange staff.

You will have an impressive career to date in passenger transport or logistics and you will have experience in operations and commercial areas and importantly you will have excellent team leadership and change management competencies.

Coach Tour Drivers

We have several vacancies for North West, South East and Midlands based drivers to work on British holidays for the 2016 season. We offer an attractive salary package which includes performance bonus payments, holiday concessions and opportunities for additional earnings. We also have vacancies for part time coach drivers to work from our depot in the village of Higher Wheelton, between Chorley and Blackburn.

You will be engaged on private hire work, feeders for our tour programme and holiday tours.
