Following the discovery of the saline and sulphur springs, the original Pump Room was built around 1867. It fell into disrepair and was restored in the early 1980’s. The Heritage Centre explains how the waters can treat various ailments and visitors are welcome to try a glass for themselves.

Abbey Cwm Hir
This charming little hamlet is home to the ruins of the abbey where Llywelyn, the last Prince of Wales was secretly buried in 1282.

Attractions around the lake include an 18 hole putting course with crazy golf facility and the Lakeside restaurant. The lake is also home to a group of swans and numerous other waterfowl.
