The park covers 164 acres and is the ideal place to take a leisurely stroll, experience the natural wildlife and relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
The Gibberd Gallery Tel:01279 446404
The Gallery is a purpose built contemporary exhibition space located in the Civic Centre, featuring an important collection of 20th century British watercolours donated to the town by Sir Frederick Gibberd in 1984. Temporary exhibitions feature works by local and national artists and there is a regular programme of events throughout the year.
The Gibberd Garden Tel:01279 442112
The Grade II listed garden has formal lawns, pools, streams and glades and is filled with sculptures, ceramic pots and architectural salvage. The Gibberd House is also open to the public; the rooms have been restored as far as possible to their original look in the sixties and all the furniture and fittings are authentic.
North Weald Airfield Museum
The museum’s collections are set out in five themed rooms and an interconnecting corridor, each telling the story of bravery, suffering and camaraderie experienced during the Great War.

Rescued from ruin and steeped in history, Hylands House is a fascinating and beautifully restored country house, dating from 1730. Visitors can now enjoy spectacular rooms, ranging from the exquisitely gilded Drawing Room to the sumptuously ornate Banqueting Room. Ascend the magnificent Grand Staircase to the Repton Room on the first floor, which provides stunning views over the landscaped parkland.
