Folkestone Literary Festival
An annual celebration in November offers a plethora of different activities, screenings and discussions taking place over the course of nine days.
Rochester Sweeps Festival
Originally celebrated by local chimney sweeps as much as 400 years ago, the festival features maypoles, morris dancers and live music and takes place over the May Bank Holiday.
is a bi-annual celebration which takes place in June/July and features events such as a car boot sale on the Green, Wildlife Train Safari, festival parade and Canal Concert.
Broadstairs Dickens Festival
is a week long festival which celebrates Charles Dickens’ connections with the town of Broadstairs, where he was a regular visitor between 1837 and 1859.
Sandwich Folk and Ale Festival
takes place over a weekend in July and includes performances by more than 30 bands, many of them free to attend. There will be numerous ales on offer, along with busking and open mic sessions so that anyone can join in!
Deal Regatta and Carnival
takes place at the end of July and includes such highlights as 10km Lorry Pull and a carnival procession.
