Coach Holidays to Bantry Bay | Famous in song, Bantry in West Cork is of legendary beauty. Located at the head of Bantry Bay, it is a busy market town and fishing port with an abundance of award-winning restaurants situated around Wolf Tone Plaza.
It has a colourful history, with evidence of human occupation dating as far as 4,000BC. It has been entered twice by French fleets, in 1689 to support James II in his war against William of Orange and again in 1796 to aid Irish patriot Wolfe Tone, who was determined to establish an Irish Republic by armed rebellion.
The area surrounding Bantry Bay exudes a romance like nowhere else in Ireland; it boasts an unsurpassable beauty and wild drama that is inextricably linked to the region’s culture, traditions and people.
We are based at the Westlodge Hotel, which is set in 25 acres of landscaped gardens just one mile from the lovely town of Bantry.
The centre of Bantry boasts a raised plaza – known as Wolf Tone Plaza – in the main square overlooking the harbour. There is an abundance of small shops and businesses, restaurants and bars to choose from.
