Annecy’s Old Town is a myriad of medieval buildings, canals, quaint streets lined with restaurants and cafés, arcades, a market and numerous small shops.
This architecturally diverse fortress dates from the 12th century and contains the Musée d’Annecy. The museum has many contemporary exhibitions on local crafts and the history and culture of the Haute-Savoie region.
Gorges du Fier
A natural geological wonder, the gorges are 300m long and 70m deep and can be explored using a network of suspended footbridges.
