Eastbourne Indoor Bowling Holiday

Overview

 
Eastbourne is one of Britain’s more elegant resorts, enjoying a glorious location on the South Coast. Because it is sheltered by Beachy Head and the South Downs it has an excellent sunshine record, always coming around the top of the sunshine league. It has a spacious promenade to stroll along and the world-famous Carpet Gardens line the seafront. Eastbourne has clean inviting beaches predominantly of shingle leading to sand at low tide and offering excellent bathing. There’s plenty to see and do with first class shops, cinemas, museums, shows, concerts and dancing in the Winter Gardens. There is also a large variety of sporting facilities, whether you want to play or spectate, such as boating, bowls, golf, putting, and walking on the South Downs.
 

Queens Hotel

This magnificent Victorian hotel is situated in an outstanding position overlooking the pier. All 125 bedrooms have central heating and bath or shower and WC. All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, intercom, hair dryer and TV with radio channels.
 

Itinerary 

Day 1 - Outward Travel

Day 2- Bowling in Peacehaven

On the first day of bowling the coach will drop off at the Peacehaven Bowls Club, Piddinghoe Avenue, Piddinghoe Sports par, Peacehaven, BN10 8RJ.

 

Peacehaven is set above the chalk cliffs of the South Downs in the Lewes district of East Sussex. This small coastal town  is an area of outstanding natural beauty. From its cliff top vantage point the town has stunning views of Friars bay and the English Channel.

 

The coach will  pick up in Peacehaven and return to the hotel in time for dinner.

Day 3 - Bowling in Seaford

On the second day of bowling the coach will drop off at the Seaford Bowls Club, Chichester Road, Seaford, BN25 2DT.

 

Between the beautiful South Downs and the English Channel lies the bustling town of Seaford. It boasts an impressive coastal scenery and maritime history. Seaford Museum, recording the town’s long history, is housed in Martello Tower no.74, situated at the eastern end of Seaford seafront (Entrance fees apply).

 

The coach will  pick up in Seaford and return to the hotel in time for dinner.

Day 4 - Bowling in Eastbourne

Using public transport we make our way to the Saffrons Bowls Club, Saffrons Road, Eastbourne, BN21 1DG.

 

We return to the hotel in time for dinner.

Day 5 - Day at Leisure

Day 6- Bowling in Bexhill

On the fourth day of bowling the coach will drop off at the Bexhill Polesgrave Bowls Club, Richmond Road, Bexhill, TN39 3DN.

 

Bexhill, a picturesque, tranquil town boasts charming architecture. Enjoy the classic Georgian buildings, 16th century cottages and the Parish Church of St Peter with its 8th century reliquary stone and the peaceful Manor Gardens.

 

The coach will pick up in Bexhill and return to the hotel in time for dinner.

Eastbourne resort

Day 7 - Bowling in Hastings

On the final day of bowling the coach will drop off at the White Rock Bowling Club, Hastings, TN34 1LD.

 

Hastings has undergone extensive regeneration in recent years, the centrepiece of which is the new £15m pier. Attractions include the Shipwreck Museum, Castle and Jerwood Gallery. The Old Town features an array of delightful independent shops and a cliff railway. 

 

The coach will pick up in Hastings and return to the hotel in time for dinner.
