Canterbury & Chatham

Resort - Sittingbourne

Overview

The ancient Roman road known as Watling Way passes through the town of Sittingbourne, which was until relatively recently just a small village, before the arrival of the railways and the paper industry on which Sittingbourne still thrives. Of course Sittingbourne is also a farming town, at the heart of the orchards and groves of the Garden of England, with a wide variety of local produce available for visitors to try in the local cafés and restaurants.
