ALFA TRAVEL

Homecoming Scotland 2009

Homecoming Scotland 2009 is a year long celebration kicking off on Burns Night (25th January) and featuring more than 300 inspirational events that connect with the year’s themes of Burns, golf, whisky, great Scottish minds and innovations and ancestry. Spanning the length and breadth of the country, the programme of events has been created to encourage Scots, people with Scots ancestry and those who simply love Scotland to ‘come home’ and celebrate in 2009.’

To celebrate Scotland’s homecoming in 2009 Alfa is proud to present a new selection of tours:-

The Moray cost is one of Scotland’s most unspoilt areas with beautiful sandy beaches and unforgettable sunsets. Our base is Lossiemouth, with it’s attractive harbour and home to the famous RAF Dambusters 617 Squadron. Close by are the Grampian Highlands with castles and malt whisky distilleries in abundance!

The Moray Firth five day tour is based at the The Stotfield Hotel with commanding views of the Moray golf club and Lossiemouth’s west beach.

The tour includes a full day in Culloden and Inverness, at the mouth of the River Ness and ‘capital of the Highlands’. As well as a visit to the well known Glenfiddich Distillery (entrance included) and Baxters (entrance included).

Scotland’s Heritage five-day tour is based in Stirling, scene of many battles and the place where Mary Queen of Scots was crowed in 1543. Staying at the Golden Lion Hotel guests can enjoy the beautifully refurbished rooms; the hotel is situated right in the middle of Stirling and is a focal point for the city.

The tour includes a full day in Scotland’s most historic city of Edinburgh where there is chance to explore the many sights or visit the superb shops (guided city tour included). Also included is a full day to Glasgow, one of Europe’s most dynamic and cultured cities (guided city tour included).

Neil McMurdy, Head of Operations commented that There is no better time for passengers to Stay in the UK, with the current exchange rates, and certainly Scotlands Scenery is comparable with anywhere in Europe, and their hospitality is second to none.
