West Sussex is home to a wealth of historic towns and picturesque villages. Our base, Crawley, is located in the far north of the county a few miles from Gatwick Airport. The market town of Horsham, with its medieval timber framed buildings and myriad of specialist shops, and the county town of Lewes, dominated by its Norman castle are both within easy reach.
Our tour includes visits to one of England’s finest gardens – Kew, which is probably the world’s best known botanical garden, as well as Chartwell, Winston Churchill’s former house and the grand manor house of Penshurst Place, once owned by Henry VIII and recently featured in the TV series ‘Wolf Hall’
We use the Europa Hotel which is situated in the heart of the Sussex countryside near Crawley.
