Kork is a small village lying on the east bank of the river Rhine, across the river from the French city of Strasbourg, home of the European Parliament. It lies on the edge of the Black Forest, an area of more than 200 square kilometres of densely wooded hills running parallel to the Upper Rhine Valley. It boasts luscious green pine forests, magnificent views of wooded hillsides, the gateaux and cuckoo clocks for which it is well known and many enchanting villages along the way.
