San Bartolomeo al Mare
is a lively seaside resort situated a few miles along the coast. It is best known for its ‘Sanctuary of the Madonna della Rovere’, and during the summer months the ‘Concorso Internazionale’, an international music festival, takes place.
is a picturesque village perched on the hillside above Diano Marina. The beautiful Baroque parish church dominates the village and plays host to the ‘Festival Internazionale di Musica da Camera’, which takes place here every summer. Clavesana’s castle, which clings to the top of the hill, houses an interesting museum.
is a medieval town which is dominated by its imposing Priamar Fortress, now a fortified museum. The ‘Pinacoteca Civica di Savona’ is an excellent Ligurian gallery of paintings on wood and splendid polyptychs, ceramic vases and wooden sculpture work, dating from the 14th Century to the current day.
