Jersey Jersey Jersey

Coach Holidays Jersey – Jersey is a magical island, part of the UK, yet lying only 15 miles off the French coast. The result is an irresistable mixture of history, culture and rugged natural beauty. The island’s fantastic sunshine record and miles of beautiful sandy beaches lie in wait and you are invited to enjoy its continental charm and climate without complications such as passports, currency or a foreign language.

Quite apart from its beaches Jersey boasts numerous museums and two fairytale castles, Mont Orgueil and Elizabeth (both in our resort); the names of which characterise the perfect blend of British and French culture on the island. The cosmopolitan streets of St. Helier, Jersey’s capital, are lined with chestnut trees, bars, pavement caf├ęs and of course, tax free shops. This relaxing holiday offers the freedom to unwind and soak up the delights of this unique island. Whether it be energetic walks and trips, sunbathing on the miles of sandy beaches or simply relaxing in and around the resort, Jersey offers something for everyone!

We use the Hotel Ambassadeur, the Runnymede Court Hotel, which is set within beautiful award-winning gardens close to the centre of St Helier or the Mayfair Hotel, located just ten minutes from the beach.

Town Centre
St Helier is the main shopping centre and is also the island’s capital. Many of the streets retain the old French titles and some of the shop fronts still bear the names of their island founders. The Central Market, which sells fresh fish, fruit and flowers is well worth a visit, as is the Royal Square, which is where the island’s parliament, one of the oldest in the Commonwealth, is situated.

Jersey is blessed with many beautiful beaches, from quiet secluded coves to wide expanses of golden sand. St Ouen’s Bay, Jersey’s largest bay, plays host to international surfing competitions, whilst the quieter Gorey Beach offers fabulous views of Mont Orgueil Castle.
